Additional Compensation Details:

  • $24.00per hour
  • Potential 90-day performance-based raise.

Job Description

Shift and Schedule:

9:00pm - 5:30am, 8 hour shifts

Overtime, weekends, and holidays to be expected

The Role:

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Sanitation Lead to join our growing night time operation. In this role, you will support the Sanitation/Maintenance department managers directly in what tasks need to be completed to run the team overnight, and supervise the Sanitation team on campus when the manager is not present. This lead will start in one of the warehouse buildings on campus, but will often assist Sanitation Associates in other warehouses on campus whenever possible.

Responsible for coordination and control of all Sanitation employees when manager is not present, and assist in directing of daily Sanitation work plan. Communicates stock inventory and special requests to Maintenance team, as necessary. Responsible for Sanitation productivity levels and facility maintenance. Assists with warehouse activities coordination with warehouse management during night shift.When needed, fill in and assist to perform Sanitation tasks with attention being given to accuracy, speed, quality and safety.

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To

  • Ensure the nightly cleaningsprogressin an orderly manner, included scheduled cleanings of freezers, restrooms, and lunchrooms.
  • Supervise all Sanitation Associateswhen the Manager is off.
  • Monitor email and radio communications as needed.
  • Effectively train personnel and help establish performance goals of subordinates.
  • Maintain inventory in Sanitation storage areas, and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor and check Sanitation tasks are completed in daily SQF inspection log through the shift.
  • Use as necessary to complete essential functions:riding pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, floor buffer,and RF scanner.
  • Maintain accountability of Sanitation tools, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Stage completed pallets in the loading area for full-case orders.
  • Maintain the warehouse and equipment in clean and orderly condition. Ensure no product is left on the floor.
  • Cleaning up standing water, breaking down boxes and recycle.
  • Other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • 1+ yearof prior sanitation, janitorial, or similar work experience.
  • Must be safety minded.
  • Must have basic math comprehension.
  • Must be able to work overtime when business requires, i.e. busy seasons, vacation coverage, etc.
  • Basic computer skills, includingMS Suite.
  • Ability to consistently work in a refrigerated environment 33 - 36degrees F.
  • Able to read and speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work independently with a detailed list of tasks to accomplish during the shift.
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.
  • Strong team player.
  • Outstanding follow-through.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience with a riding pallet jack and forklift preferred.
