Position Title: Plant Floater
Wage: $17/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7am-3pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Plant Floater for a company in Lake Geneva, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Plant Floater Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Use air-activated guns and belt sanders to remove burrs and blend surface flaws - Maintain specifications and tolerances on parts; remove excess metal or flaws marked by inspection - Operate wheel equipment to grind gates off casted parts; report machine issues to supervisors - Operate press equipment and report any machine issues to supervisor or leads - Inspect casted parts and report any quality issues; conduct quality checks - Hand dip or operate robots to coat wax molds with slurry and sand - Prepare molds for autoclave and maintain shell equipment; mix and maintain slurry levels as per instructions - Operate wax presses and finishing machines - Assemble patterns to runners and inspect wax parts for defects; attach wax parts to trees using hot glue - Maintain a clean work environment - Follow safety and quality policies - Perform other duties assigned Plant Floater Requirements: - Repeatedly lift parts ranging in weight from 10 pounds to 55 pounds - Stand for extended periods of time - Excellent communication across team members - Previous knowledge of abrasive cut-off saws, or related machinery - Attention to detail - Ability to multitask - Must have some mechanical aptitude or previous machine operation experience - Must be able to read and understand English directions - Must be able to use basic hand and power tools QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
