 We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join the onsite project team for a large-scale commercial build near Amarillo, Texas. This role supports daily project coordination, technical problem-solving, and field oversight to ensure smooth execution of all construction activities. The Project Engineer will report directly to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager and will work closely with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel. This is a fully onsite role with project assignments that may vary by city or state.Key Responsibilities 
      Qualifications
 
 Lead and participate in coordination meetings with managers, design teams, subcontractors, and client representatives 
 Interface with subcontractors and area managers to resolve field coordination issues in real time 
 Review and interpret design drawings, construction documents, and technical manuals 
 Coordinate civil, structural, architectural (CSA), and MEP systems within the overall project design 
 Train client personnel on operation and maintenance of CSA systems as required 
 Review, process, and coordinate submittals to ensure compatibility and constructability 
 Generate and manage RFIs, change documents, and directives 
 Perform field survey layout for control lines and benchmarks 
 Serve as an onsite technical advisor for project teams and field crews 
 Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to as-built records 
 Professional Experience & Education 
      
 
 Minimum 3 years of commercial construction experience required 
 High school diploma or GED required 
 Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience) 
 Strong foundation in construction materials, methods, and sequencing 
 Technical Skills 
      
 
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) 
 Familiarity with project management platforms: Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 
 Experience with design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks 
 Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications 
 Knowledge of CSI specification system

 Combination of office and field work on active construction sites 
 Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs; work in confined spaces 
 Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, or twisting for inspections 
 Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and move materials short distances 
 Regular use of computers and office productivity tools alongside field tasks 
 Ability to work in proximity to loud equipment with hearing protection as needed
