Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic, high-energy Director of Sales to lead our sales function and drive aggressive revenue growth for our experiential marketing agency. This executive role will oversee a team of new business development professionals-both prospectors focused on lead generation and pipeline development, and closers responsible for converting high-value opportunities into long-term client partnerships.

As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in defining the go-to-market strategy, building and mentoring a high-performing sales organization, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on company growth objectives. You will report directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and be a key member of the executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy
  • Work with Head of Growth to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives and market opportunities.
  • Work with Head of Growth to set quarterly and annual revenue targets; monitor KPIs and pipeline health to ensure consistent growth.
  • Work with Head of Growth to Identify new verticals, market opportunities, and partnerships to expand the agency's footprint.
Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team including both prospectors (lead generators) and closers (deal managers).
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Pipeline & Business Development
  • Oversee outbound and inbound lead generation efforts, ensuring a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Guide and support closers in developing winning proposals, presentations, and deal negotiations.
  • Personally manage key enterprise-level opportunities or strategic accounts as needed.
Client & Market Insights
  • Stay current with trends in experiential marketing, branding, consumer engagement, and client industries.
  • Gather client feedback to inform service offerings, pricing models, and positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of industry experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a marketing, creative, or experiential agency.
  • Proven success in building and leading sales teams responsible for new business acquisition.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into executable plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen; able to model revenue forecasts and performance reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with Fortune 1000 brands or enterprise-level clients.
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing, brand activations, live events, sponsorships, or retail experiences.
  • Background in high-growth agency environments.
