Summary:

This pivotal role marks a critical stage in one's career, where leadership, strategic thinking, and specialized expertise are further developed. The position involves managing complex international tax engagements, delivering strategic consulting and compliance services to clients with global operations-including corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.

Beyond technical execution, the Experienced Senior is expected to take initiative in project management, mentorship, client relationship development, and business development. By identifying opportunities for service expansion and deepening professional relationships, this role plays a key part in driving the firm's growth and long-term success.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review U.S. international tax filings including Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 1118, and 8992 (GILTI)
  • Advise clients on international tax planning strategies including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credit optimization
  • Conduct tax research and draft technical memoranda on complex international tax issues
  • Assist with treaty analysis, repatriation planning, and transfer pricing considerations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global tax compliance and advisory projects
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their technical development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in public accounting with focus on taxation
  • CPA or EA certification required
  • Master's in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred
  • Experience in U.S. tax, preferably with exposure to international tax matters.
  • Proficiency in CCH Axcess Tax and familiarity with Checkpoint for tax research.
  • Proven technical skills with MS Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong knowledge and use of tax compliance and research software (Go Systems, BNA portfolio and projection, CCH, RIA)
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to independently research and solve complex tax and accounting issues and write well-organized memos
  • Strong understanding of current tax code, with expert knowledge of one or more areas of taxation (corporations, pass-through's, individuals, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and perform at a high level
  • Exceptional client service, communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to flexibly work as part of a team striving to meet periodic and other client requirements
  • Ability to delegate work and manage staff
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deliver in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated specialized technical and industry knowledge expertise and committed to further development through personal reading, research and coursework
  • Commands knowledge of different entity structures and their tax rules
  • Ability to travel to client locations which may include occasional overnight stays
  • Expert knowledge of work paper referencing and filing requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential

Compensation:

This role offers a competitive base salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S.-based positions are determined by geographic location and fall into one of three pay zones, which reflect the cost of labor in that area. The anticipated salary ranges for this position are outlined below and are subject to change:

  • $85,000.00 - $125,000.00
