Android Software Engineer - Inflight Entertainment Systems Location: Hybrid / Southern California preferred Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Aviation Technology / Consumer Electronics About the Role Are you passionate about building Android applications that reach users in unique environments? We're looking for a talented Android Software Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation inflight entertainment systems. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications that run on a wide range of devices, delivering seamless experiences to passengers around the world. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to sophisticated system designs, and help shape the future of digital experiences in the sky. What You'll Do * Design and develop Android applications for inflight entertainment platforms. * Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services. * Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across various Android devices. * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies. * Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications. * Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. What We're Looking For * Strong Android development experience with Kotlin and/or Java. * Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and Android SDK. * Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries. * Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). * A collaborative mindset and a passion for building high-quality products. Bonus Points For * Experience developing applications for embedded systems or custom hardware. * Familiarity with aviation, automotive, or other regulated industries. * Exposure to performance profiling, memory management, and offline storage solutions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
