Job Overview

The Seasonal Creative Production Assistant supports Macy's Studios Creative Production Team by coordinating plans, handling logistics & administrative responsibilities, and supporting creative production for volunteers, performers, and show elements in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.



  • Ongoing Office Responsibilities: examples include assistance with physical room set ups, material preparations, meeting scheduling/follow up, updating reports, and supporting financial processes. Prepare and manage RSVP lists, sign-in sheets, and security lists for events as needed.
  • Ongoing Digital Responsibilities: examples include assistance with reports, asset management, participant coordination/communication, deck support. Support team needs and talent/vendor coordination.
  • PA Responsibilities: examples include facilitation of supply and craft service needs, deliveries/purchases, giveaway preparations and tracking, ticket and credential distribution for creative partners, talent, and VIP guests. Attend walk-throughs, on- and off-site meetings/rehearsals
  • Production Responsibilities: examples include coordinating production needs with cross functional partners for external and internal meetings, rehearsals, and Thanksgiving Day.
  • Thanksgiving Day Responsibilities: to be determined during the season



Skills You Will Need



  • Event/Production Experience: Prior experience in live event, theatre, working with celebrity talent or TV production is essential. A background in stage management, talent management or company management is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer and general technical skills, including experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, AirTable, and Canva.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, including prioritization, flexibility and time management, to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to keep others informed and present information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to lead and work collaboratively across teams and different levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Creative and Strategic Thinking: Capacity to think creatively, strategically, and technically when addressing production and logistical challenges.
  • Customer Service: Experience in customer service is preferred to support VIP guests, creative partners, and volunteers.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail for tasks like proofing materials, coordinating rehearsals, managing budgets, and updating operational reports.


Who You Are



  • Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs. Working Thanksgiving Day should be expected.



Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform



  • This position requires lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.

    • Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 50lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
    • Reaching, including above eye level
    • Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions
