- Develop a design and strategy for network infrastructure for the entire enterprise which includes WAN, LAN, Dial-up, OT.
- Develop information system strategies by determining accountabilities; policies, procedures and controls.
- Administer and secure all Company internal and external network access.
- Monitors, evaluates and corrects outages to the LAN/WAN, firewall, and remote access services.
- Manage the acquisition, installation, maintenance, performance, monitoring, security and access policies of all routers, switches, firewalls, software and other network components as required Perform configuration backups and manage disaster recovery of network.
- Monitor and manage all networking devices and connections to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance.
- Produce routine network monitor reports for direct management and provide a stable and sufficient connectivity to allow the business to conduct reliable and secure operations.
- Analyze products and recommend use of new products to direct management. This involves conducting a review of proposals with a panel, making recommendations to executive leadership, and if approved, proceeding with implementation.
- Responsible for maintaining the budget for corporate networking operations.
- Interface internally with company leadership and externally with vendors and carriers to provide services and solutions.
- Maintains networking equipment areas and closets and ensures they are in order and supporting devices are maintained.
- Provide escalation support to direct reports and service desk to trouble shoot tickets.
- Provide service as subject matter expert for various networking technologies.
- Lead off-hours remediation efforts including weekends for critical incidents. By their nature, critical incidents are rare. A critical incident is also known as a service outage.
Who you are...
- Bachelors' degree in IT, Cyber Security or Business or some college to include related coursework, minimum 5 Years of IT leadership experience, minimum 5 Years of network administration experience and minimum 1 Year of experience in project management along with Cisco Certification, Palo Alto Certification or other related certifications.
- Knowledge of modern routing protocols and networking topology.
- Operational knowledge of the configuration of advanced networking hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, fiber connections, WAN, LAN, and VPNs.
- Ability to understand complex or technical terms, network administrators may need to translate this information into easy-to-understand formats for clients or colleagues with less technical expertise
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with different stakeholders.
- Basic project management skills, consistent with a skilled and experienced technical resource to be able to manage tasks and schedules.
- Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation regarding the systems and networks they manage
Where you'll be working:
- Hybrid remote with in office presence typically Newark Delaware for 2 days a week and occasionally at Dover DE. On specific projects, this may be for entire week on site depending on the requirement of the project or task. Occasional evening/weekend work needed for network emergencies.
