Main Purpose of the Job:

As the Senior Finance Manager Co-Pilot, you will be at the forefront of providing financial and controlling support, taking ownership of results and strategy for the Essentia Business Unit. You will also be responsible for leading and managing your team, ensuring their performance, development, and overall success.

Key Outputs & Deliverables:

People Leadership:

  • Inspire, lead, and coach a high-performing team.
  • Develop your team members to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Business Planning & Control:

  • Strategically allocate resources to meet consumer demands and drive long-term value for the brand portfolio.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of MBS, ICP, and MBP forecasts, ensuring accurate budgets and forecasts through cross-functional coordination.
  • Analyze and optimize the product portfolio to identify cost-saving opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and maximize ROI from commercial spend.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and FP&A to generate insights and influence business results.
  • Focus on optimizing cost structures and driving cost improvements, including structural costs.
  • Partner with functional finance leads on forecasting, closing, projects, and savings.
  • Drive decision-making and accountability to achieve financial targets, while educating on value creation.

Projects/Initiatives:

  • Support business unit I&R and strategic growth initiatives, including evaluating financial feasibility and developing capabilities to support growth.
  • Lead special projects such as M&A, sourcing, integration, and business transformation.
  • Define financial frameworks for spend approval on product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Support division process improvement and business initiatives.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Provide executive summary insights, narratives, trends, variances, risks, and opportunities on an ad hoc basis.
  • Review monthly performance, identify risks to achieving targets, and develop action plans.

Internal Control:

  • Ensure full compliance with Nestle Accounting Standards policies and guidelines.

Qualifications / Experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of financial concepts and principles, including cost accounting, activity-based costing, cash flow, NPV, IRR, and ROI.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills to meet deadlines and respond to requests promptly.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the drivers of product and portfolio profit and loss.
  • Results-focused, self-starter with strong initiative and a desire to make a difference.
  • Strong business acumen, financial, and analytical skills; ability to draw conclusions from information and develop recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to partner with customers and cross-functional teams to drive business results and meet deliverables.
  • Proven ability to influence business decisions with concrete financial support.
  • Ability to drive change and lead initiatives.
  • Intermediate to advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, including intermediate to advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Basic Access; Hyperion Essbase, SAP, BW.
  • Experience working with senior-level management, providing recommendations, and delivering information to finance and non-finance team members.
  • Previous people management or supervisory experience required.
