Like shopping at Trader Joe's? Then, maybe you'll love working with us. We are looking for an HRIS Coordinator who is searching to do what they'll love! Do you have experience in I-9 verification and background check initiation? Do you love food? If so, read on! We may have the role of a lifetime for you!
Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified HRIS Coordinator has at least 1 years of Human Resources and employee onboarding experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources is strongly preferred. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, CA and we have an in office expectation of 5 days a week.
The HRIS Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Processing new hires, transfers, promotions and other status changes into the HRIS (Dayforce).
  • Ensuring all New Hire Pre-Start requirements are met for all New Hires including I-9 verifications, paperwork, and uniforms and reviewing New Hire paperwork from the stores for accuracy.
  • Assisting in the accurate distribution of information pertaining to FMLA, Workers' Compensation, Background Checks, Verification of Employment, and Disability Claims.
  • Maintaining the department's third party file storage system.
  • Create or modify reports in HRIS as necessary.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments.
The HRIS Coordinator has:
  • 1 year of experience in an HR operations function or 3-4 years of experience working as a Crew Member in stores onboarding new Crew Members.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fields preferred.
  • Knowledge in Excel including V-Look Ups and Pivot Tables.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Experience initiating, tracking and verifying background checks.
  • The ability to work autonomously and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
  • The ability to handle highly confidential materials.
