Purpose of the Job


As a People + Talent Advisor, you'll be part of our NAM People + Talent team, reporting to the Business Partner Lead. You'll support colleagues and managers across multiple NAM sites providing practical, people-first guidance that helps our teams thrive.


You'll work closely with managers at all levels, offering expert advice across a wide range of HR topics, from employee relations and performance management to recruitment and onboarding. You'll also play a key role in ensuring our HR practices are compliant with NAM employment law and aligned with company policies.


In this role, you'll collaborate with talent acquisition, performance, operations, payroll, and rewards teams bringing local insights to global processes and helping shape a consistent and effective employee experience.


Key Responsibilities



  • Act as a trusted advisor to line managers, offering clear, pragmatic guidance across all areas of HR, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in people management, helping them navigate employee relations, absence management, maternity leave, and other people matters.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through to performance reviews and exit processes, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both managers and employees.
  • Help new employees settle in and succeed, managing inductions and probation periods to create a strong foundation for their journey with us.
  • Contribute to the performance management process, advising on development plans, performance improvement plans, and objective setting.
  • Assist in the rollout of training and development initiatives, including workshops and coaching sessions that build people management capability.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to review, design, and implement HR processes, policies, and procedures that reflect current legislation and evolving business needs.
  • Provide general HR administrative support where needed, working closely with our HR Operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.


Knowledge, Skills + Experience



  • 3+ years of experience in generalist HR, ideally within a multi-site or professional services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of NAM employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels.
  • Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and has the ability to engage effectively and influence stakeholders.
  • Practical problem-solver with sound judgement and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and resilient, able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.

For Chicago applicants: The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives.
