Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Manager, Cybersecurity Platform. The Cybersecurity Platform Manager will grow a team that will design, implement, and maintain security solutions for critical systems. The candidate should be skilled in cybersecurity principles, architecture, and cybersecurity tool chains, with a proven ability to lead and mentor developers.

Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

What you will do:

Management:



  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members through mentoring and performance feedback
  • Foster communication within the team and across departments
  • Drive continuous improvement in team processes, tools, and outcomes


Cybersecurity Toolchain Architecture:



  • Design a cybersecurity toolchain that provides unified visibility of security posture


Cybersecurity Development:



  • Lead development activities to establish telemetry pipelines integrating new and existing cybersecurity tools
  • Create unified management for cybersecurity risk


Security Architecture & Engineering:



  • Design secure product solutions with product teams
  • Automate detection of security issues and implement effective mitigation strategies


Release Management:



  • Ensure that cybersecurity is represented in the release management process


Security Standards and Compliance:



  • Ensure products and processes conform to industry standards
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for secure development lifecycle assurance (SDLA)


Incident Response and Risk Management:



  • Collaborate with teams to address security incidents and conduct root cause analysis
  • Evaluate product risks and provide guidance to reduce potential security issues


Cybersecurity Collaboration:



  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and IT, to integrate security practices


Support Executive Metrics Collection:



  • Facilitate the collection and visualization of risk metrics and other key performance indicators to measure cybersecurity performance

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years in software development and cybersecurity
  • 6+ years in people leadership roles
  • Strong software architecture skills
  • Strong programming skills with a cybersecurity focus
  • Proficiency in full-stack development technologies
  • Knowledge of encryption, authentication, and secure coding practices
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines/ DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with cyber security tools such as: SCA, SAST
  • Familiarity with virtualized and container-based environments along with Azure cloud security
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CSP, CCSK
  • Adaptability: Willingness to stay current with technological advancements and adapt accordingly
  • Integrity: Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality


  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated success in commercial HVAC and controls



Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:



  • Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance
  • 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,000 - $188,000 (+ 20-25% bonus) in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
