SUMMARY: The manager shall authenticate all licenses, certification, registration, and/or other documents required for practice of medicine with the MN Army National Guard. Work with the State Surgeon on all credentialing and privileging actions of more than 80 medical providers involved in delivering healthcare to eligible beneficiaries during Inactive Duty Training (IDT) and Annual Training (AT). In addition, this position will be required to complete prime source verification for all new providers entering the MN Army National Guard, as well as renewal of all ARNG providers, and ICTB transfers as needed. This position will also serve as the primary manager for all healthcare bonuses and incentives, as well as coordination of Post-Deployment Health Readiness (PDHRA) events. Job Description
- Authenticate all licenses, certification, registration, and/or other documents required for practice of medicine with the MN Army National Guard.
- Provide information to the MN Army National Guard medical staff in credentialing and privileging procedures, guidelines, and mandates according to Army Regulation and National Guard Bureau (NGB) guidance; maintain a library of these reference materials.
- Provide oversight and management of all healthcare provider credentialing and privileging functions, and the process for verification of all licenses, certifications and registrations in conjunction with Innovative Information Solutions (IIS).
- Offer comprehensive guidance and support to healthcare providers during the initial and renewal privileging processes.
- Conduct National Practitioner Database (NPDB) checks and Prime Source Verification (PSV) to authenticate credentials of healthcare providers for initial and renewal of clinical privileges.
- In collaboration with IIS, ensure the Centralized Credentials and Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) is current and complete.
- In collaboration with IIS, maintain PCFs and/or prepare and forward Inter-Facility Credentials Transfer Briefs (ICTB) for privileged providers to gaining Military Treatment Facility (MTF) for deployment purposes.
- Forward all requests for adverse credentialing and privileging information on individuals previously assigned as privileged federal service providers to IIS Risk Assessment Division and the United States Army Medical Command Quality Management Division for action.
- Prepare and send incentives packets to the correct locations. When an eligible health care provider wishes to contract for the incentive, they will contact the MED-DET AMEDD incentives manager.
- Prepare, assemble and submit Health Professional Loan Repayment Packets (HPLRP), and determine if the Soldier is qualified to receive the AMEDD Health Professional Loan Repayment. Determine what level of loan repayment is authorized based on the provider's branch. Ensure that only qualified loans are submitted for payment.
- Track all AMEDD incentives to ensure that medical providers are being paid on a timely basis.
- Maintain the AMEDD Staffing roster weekly and manage the AMEDD SOCB and JCOB rosters in concert with the State Surgeon monthly.
- Assist State Surgeon with deploying provider OML and tracking.
- Attend quarterly State Surgeon Update Briefs to provide guidance and updates to the State Surgeon and branch managers.
- Assist the S1 personnel with AMEDD Officer Actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous Army or National Guard experience preferred
- Prior experience working with medical provider credentials and certifications preferred
- Must be proficient with MS office suite and general administrative duties
