Position Title:AVP Clinical Performance Data and Analytics Department:Quality Data Reporting Job Description:

The AVP of Quality Data Management and Analytics will serve as a vital leader within our academic health system, overseeing and managing quality data, clinical registries, public reporting, benchmarking initiatives, and related functions. This role will support our commitment to data-driven decision-making to enhance clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Data Strategy and Leadership

  • Develop and execute a quality data management and analytics strategy aligned with the academic health system's quality improvement goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Quality Data Management and Analytics team.

Clinical Registries and Data Management

  • Oversee the management, accuracy, and compliance of clinical registries and databases, ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify opportunities for data enhancement and standardization.

Public Reporting and Benchmarking

  • Lead efforts to prepare and submit data for public reporting initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and transparency standards.
  • Benchmark the health system's performance against national and regional peers to identify areas for improvement.

Data Analytics and Insights

  • Supervise the development of advanced analytics models and tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for clinical and operational teams.

Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality measurement, clinical outcomes, and public reporting.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on quality metrics, benchmarking results, and improvement initiatives to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, IT professionals, quality improvement teams, and other departments to align data initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary data-driven discussions to drive improvements in patient care.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay current with healthcare data regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, CMS) and ensure the organization's adherence.

Team Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data analysts, data managers, and professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related field required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare data management and analytics required. Leadership experience in an academic health system or large healthcare organization preferred.

License/Certification/Registration: None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies for clinical registries, public reporting, and benchmarking.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
