Description
The Graduate Enrollment Counselor supports the recruitment and enrollment efforts for the Pfeffer Graduate School of Business at Lipscomb University. This role is responsible for engaging prospective students, building partnerships, and executing recruitment strategies in alignment with institutional goals. The counselor serves as a key point of contact for applicants, guiding them through the admissions process from initial inquiry to enrollment. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic recruitment efforts for all graduate programs in the Pfeffer Graduate School of Business.
- Represent Lipscomb at graduate fairs, corporate events, and community functions; includes occasional travel and evening/weekend work.
- Coordinate and participate in on-campus and virtual events such as information sessions, campus visits, and interviews.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective students by providing personalized guidance throughout the admissions process.
- Serve as a liaison between prospective students and faculty, staff, and alumni to facilitate meaningful connections and program insight.
- Effectively communicate through email, phone, text, and virtual platforms to nurture leads and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Use CRM tools (e.g., Slate) to manage student records, track recruitment metrics, and execute communication plans.
- Develop and maintain pipelines through partnerships with undergraduate institutions, local businesses, professional organizations, and community groups.
- Support special initiatives and recruitment campaigns in coordination with the admissions and marketing teams.
- Maintain accurate records, uphold confidentiality, and represent the university professionally at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years of experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, or related field preferred
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in CRM/database systems (preferably Slate) and Microsoft Office
- Professionalism in communication and appearance
- Flexible schedule with availability for travel and occasional evening/weekend events
