Redhorse Corporation is looking for a Lead Solutions Architect to assist the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in support of Combatant Command mission integration. This position focuses on assessing and advancing the Combatant Command's technology integration initiatives and on advancing AI/ML and data-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical writing skills and technical expertise. The Lead Solutions Architect will work under general guidance, demonstrate an initiative to develop approaches to solutions independently, review architecture, and identify areas for automation, optimization, right-sizing, and cost reduction to support the overall effectiveness of the Combatant Command Intelligence Enterprise digital environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:
  • Translate mission objectives into a target technical architecture and multi-phase roadmap.
  • Define make-buy decisions, sequencing, and migration paths (rehost refactor replatform).
  • Ensure solutions are interoperable, resilient, observable, and scalable.
  • Architect eventing/streaming, ETL/ELT, and API management patterns.
  • Define data models, MDM approach, and data governance.
  • Improve data quality, lineage, and access controls for analytics/AI enablement.
  • Select landing zones, networking, and core platform services (containers, serverless, DB).
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), environment strategy, and cost controls.
  • Define CI/CD guardrails, quality gates, and automated testing strategy.
  • Maintain the architecture runway and prioritize technical backlog with Product/PM.
  • Chair architecture reviews; manage waivers, tech debt, and risk registers.
  • Track NFR compliance, SLOs/SLIs, and readiness criteria for releases and cutovers.
  • Communicate trade-offs and decision logs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate workshops, demos, and exec readouts tied to mission value.
  • Decompose capabilities into services, APIs, data flows, and integration contracts.
  • Produce and maintain current/target state diagrams, ADRs, and Interface Control Documents.
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, and Credentials include:
  • US citizen with a Top-Secret security clearance that includes SCI eligibility and a CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering is required.
  • Comprehensive cloud services experience (Minimum 10 years w/ certifications).
  • Experience with full cycle hardware/software development projects.
  • Experience in Python.
