Cox Automotive is currently looking for an Editor I, Digital Operations to join our team. This is a remote, work-from-home position.

The Role:

We're transforming automotive journalism. As an Editor I, Digital Operations, you will help shape the future of how people discover, understand, and engage with car buying and ownership content. This role involves editing digital articles and multimedia posts to ensure they meet company standards, collaborating with senior editors, and using data to guide improvements. Ideal candidates have strong editing skills, a passion for automotive topics, and a flexible, team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities:

Focus on Quality and Governance

  • Copy-edit and fact-check model coverage articles and videos across formats.
  • Use AI tools to enhance the quality of evergreen articles assigned to you.
  • Embrace Smart Brevity: say more with less.


Own Your Outcomes

  • Uphold brand integrity across all editorial outputs.
  • Monitor trends and integrate emerging media formats.
  • Use analytics to inform decisions and improve performance.


Grow the Brand

  • Build a social media presence that reflects your work.

  • Suggest new formats and storytelling techniques.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong editing and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing and social media.
  • Passion for automotive topics and storytelling.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
  • Foundational skills in analytical thinking, consulting, data gathering and reporting, effective presentations and managing multiple priorities.
  • Foundational skills in collaborating with intent, driving innovation, engaging others, focusing on execution and striving for excellence.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, which may include international destinations.


USD 54,200.00 - 81,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
