Job Description:

The Internal Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across Jubilant HollisterStier. This role is responsible for developing and executing internal communication strategies that foster transparency, alignment, and a strong sense of community among employees. The specialist partners with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives, drive employee engagement, and ensure timely dissemination of critical updates.

  • Design and implement internal communication plans for company-wide initiatives, events, and campaigns.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute newsletters, announcements, policy updates, and leadership messages.
  • Manage and enhance internal communication platforms (e.g., intranet, digital signage, bulletin boards).
  • Lead employee engagement efforts including surveys, feedback loops, and recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and department leaders to ensure message consistency and compliance.
  • Support executive communications including speech writing, presentation development, and video messaging.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness through analytics and employee feedback.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on tone, timing, and delivery of internal messages.
  • Ensure all communications align with company values and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Organizational Development or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communication required
  • Bilingual communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) required
  • Project management and organizational skills required
  • Experience with HRIS platforms like PeopleSoft required.

Shift: Weekday Days, Monday-Friday

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

  • Hiring Wage: $77,968.80- $105,200 annually depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises. Midpoint and above is reserved for employees who have longevity with Jubilant HollisterStier and consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role
