Engineer (CNC)

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at NH Ball Bearings. In this role, you will utilize your CNC / Project Management / Hard Turning experience and background. As a highly skilled engineer, your focus will be the development and implementation of a highly technical Precision Hard Turn and Hone process.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the research, design and implementation of the project for a new Precision Hard Turn process.
• Develop and implement ways to improve the process and reduce distortion through high pressure gas processes.
• Communicate timelines for development and implementation of new processes.
• Collaborate with key departments to prioritize the resolution of technical issues.
• Provide leadership, instruction and training to team members involved in the project, as needed.

JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Relevant technical and computer skills - AutoCAD/SolidWorks, MS Access, and Excel.
• Highly skilled at blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation and tolerancing
• Ability to develop capital justification analysis for Return On Investment (ROI) and usage
• Highly self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and presentation skills including project planning and project update communication.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage technical projects - planning, scheduling and budgeting. Previous experience with project management preferred.
• Previous experience driving workplace change using 6S practices including driving workplace cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to partner effectively with employees at all levels, and work within and lead cross-functional teams.
  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelors' degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical), or related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with project management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, twisting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to physically lift up to 40lbs, when necessary.
