LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: As Needed

Join Astrion in Huntsville and play a critical role in a mission-driven team at the forefront of national defense innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Acquisition Analyst to join our CUAS team. This role is pivotal in managing complex government and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risk. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), cradle-to-grave contract management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced defense environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in contract management, preferably in defense or aerospace
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement
  • Experience with Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), or related defense technologies is preferred
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
RESPONSIBITIES
  • Lead cradle-to-grave contract administration for CUAS initiatives
  • Develop and analyze acquisition strategies during pre-solicitation phases
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements, subcontracts, and prime contracts
  • Prepare acquisition documentation including Statements of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Conduct market research and support drafting of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and sources sought notices
  • Monitor contract execution, funding, modifications, and performance tracking
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Department of Defense (DoD) directives
  • Collaborate with program management, Army Contracting Command, and industry partners
  • Support the development of Contract Requirement Packages and Simplified Acquisition Management Plans
  • Provide acquisition guidance to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Manage property delivery and transfer under both FAR-based and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) contracts
