Position Summary

Responsible for managing one or more Information Technology processes, including coordination and ownership of enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and readiness. Identify and manage processes for tracking, updating, quality assurance and reporting on IT records and/or performance against process metrics. Responsibilities may include Disaster Recovery analysis, planning, testing, documentation, error/exception handling, performance improvements and business process implementation, and audit readiness. Manage and maintain area data and knowledge artifacts relevant to the process area(s) supported. Provide reporting and make recommendations related to performance against goals, metrics, and key performance indicators. Support compliance efforts preparing and responding to audit requests to ensure that CPS Energy is compliance.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, manages, and coordinates work activities and processes for IT process domain(s) supported.
  • Develops, implements, maintains, and provides quality assurance for IT process area(s) supported which may include but is not limited to systems, tools, hardware, software, applications, databases, documents, and records.
  • Recommends, administers, congures, designs, tests and/or maintains tools as needed for both DR and process improvement.
  • Develops and maintains current support documentation relevant to process domain(s) supported.
  • Actively engaged in knowledge sharing and knowledge artifact creation and review.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise disaster recovery plan.
  • Supports one or more IT processes, including enterprise Disaster Recovery planning.
  • Lead budget planning for Capital and O&M based on operational and recovery needs.
  • Coordinates and facilitates annual DR exercises, including test execution, documentation, and after-action reporting.
  • Utilizes enterprise and department tools to document standard and project support including requirements analysis, documentation, error/exception handling, business process implementation, performance analysis/improvements and research.
  • Develops and maintains documentation relevant to supported domains, including DR plans, recovery procedures, and system dependencies.
  • Maintains relevant process skills and expertise through independent research, training and/or conference attendance and participation.
  • Establishes a network of peers and external contacts and facilitates meetings and Disaster Recovery test briefings as part of the organizational cadence.
  • Prepares reporting and trend analysis for DR performance, tests results, audit outcomes, and makes recommendations improvements.
  • Communicates eectively, prepares content, and facilitates meetings and DR test briefings as part of the organizational cadence.
  • Serves as a cross-functional resource, engaging with internal customers in various business units in EIT and other parts of the CPS organization as needed.
  • Maintains DR and IT records, ensures documentation is audit-ready and responds to audit and compliance reviews.
  • Leads the development, maintenance, and execution of the enterprise Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Perform root cause analysis and follow-up on recovery-related incidents and test failures.
  • Establishes a network of peers and external contacts in the field, including DR practitioners and solution providers.

Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
Proficiency in producing reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
Ability to identify trends, make recommendations and independent decisions.
Ability to work across teams and communicate technical information clearly.
Experience coordinating Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity planning, including tests and exercises.
Familiarity with ITSM principles and performance monitoring/reporting tools.
Experience working in a team environment and coordinating with multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, PMP, ITIL); Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity certifications (e.g., CBCP, MBCP).
  • Experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or enterprise risk management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-class tools for planning, backup, and recovery.
  • Background in utilities, critical infrastructure, or other regulated environments.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Risk Management, or a related field.
Required Certifications
Working Environment
Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events.
Physical Demands
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
