Position Summary:

This is a contract position, with possibility of running through the end of the year

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician II will support production of medical devices in cleanroom environment. This position is primarily responsible for manufacturing processes of cleanroom assemblies. This position is expected to work with and assist manufacturing engineers and quality engineers in resolving issues in manufacturing. Working with manufacturing process instructions (MPI's), non-conforming products or materials (NCR's). Additional expectations in this position is to continue to build their skills by undertaking tasks and direction from the engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) requirements to ensure products are controlled according to the Quality System
  • Maintain process adherence on assembly line throughout entire assembly build.
  • Train operators to perform Manufacturing Procedures instructions (MPI)
  • Assists with operations team to maintain equipment as required by preventative maintenance workorders.
  • Works on process setups or teardown of equipment for changeover processes.
  • Provides technical support for production line operators to answer process related issues according to MPI procedures.
  • Collect information for investigational manufacturing problems reporting and root cause investigations.
  • Works with Engineering, as representative of manufacturing personnel in problem solving exercises.
  • Dispositions Non-Conformance Reports (NCR"s) and routes Engineering Change Request (ECN's)
  • Works with engineers, programmers, and project managers to ensure safe reliable delivery of final products to the customer
  • Ability to meet internal and external customer deadlines
  • Assists with processes and documentation for new or modified products to provide redline documents to engineering.
  • Operates effectively and maintains professionalism in an environment of deadlines and high workloads and adjusts schedule or work hours to meet changes in priorities
  • Able to perform the above duties with little or no supervision


This is not a remote position.

Must have:



  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient communication skills with verbal instructions to operational staff.
  • Ability to present complex data in clear, concise manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Basic understanding of Lean Concepts
  • Understanding of GT&D
  • Analytical skills and must have the ability to obtain secondary research information from the Internet or alternate sources.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technology
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP business functions
  • Technical report preparation experience and good verbal communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.


Nice to Have:



  • Technical training in cleanroom assembly
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in medical device industry a plus



Hours: 3:45PM to 2:15AM Monday through Thursday

Hourly Pay Range: $27-34/hr
