Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician Objective: Safely performs validations and repairs on railroad equipment to include: electronic, electrical, mechanical controllers, contactors, wire harnesses, and High Voltage systems while adhering to production schedules. Perform repairs using manual and power tools. Work on wide range of electronic equipment, computer systems, and mechanical equipment under the supervision of technical engineer/Manager. Perform automated and manual testing on multiple different types of equipment. Follow all electronic, electrical, mechanical and CFC safety requirements. Use MS Office programs to include Access for creating reports and analysis. Use SAP to input and track completed task. Train and assist other technicians on shop process and safety standards. Advise Technical Engineers and or Shop Supervisors as requested. Use MS Office programs for creating reports and product analysis. Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Electro-Mechanical Shop:
Education Requirement: High school diploma or GED An Associate's Degree or equivalent technical experience and/or military technical training preferred Experience: Mandatory: Experience with high voltage testing/validation. Experience using standard electronic test equipment like Digital Volt Meter, Oscilloscope, and Hand Tools Experience reading and interpreting Schematics Desireable: Knowledge of rolling stock maintenance Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment Strong understanding of electronic principles, circuit design, and testing procedures.
