The Opportunity:

Do you have a keen eye for detail, strong research skills, and an enthusiasm for supporting fundraising efforts in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment? If so, the University of Central Florida's Advancement & Partnerships division invites you to join our team as a Prospect Research Analyst II.

In this role, you will work closely with the Assistant Director, Prospect Research, and other members of the Prospect Development team to provide professional prospect development research and information services that enhance our relationships with alumni, friends, staff, faculty, and community partners, ultimately increasing resources for the University. You will contribute to our fundraising goals and objectives by identifying and researching prospective donors and providing vital insights to the Advancement & Partnerships team.

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct in-depth research on alumni, individuals, corporations, and foundations, gathering biographical, business, and financial data from various sources.

  • Create concise and confidential prospect profiles to support annual, major, and principal gift fundraising efforts.

  • Update and maintain constituent information in our database, including personal, professional, news alerts, capacity ratings, and other relevant data.

  • Monitor news publications, job announcements, and news alerts to identify prospects and gather strategy intelligence for donor engagement.

  • Collaborate with the team to analyze and assign prospect capacity ratings, using both vendor-generated scores and industry best practices.

  • Manage the event bio process in coordination with the Donor Experience team to ensure that the University president and Advancement executive team are well-informed about select event attendees.

  • Respond to high-priority and ad hoc research requests, working with the Prospect Research team to determine fulfillment strategies and workflow management.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in prospect research, fundraising, and/or data analysis, preferably in a higher education and/or nonprofit setting.

  • Proficiency with research tools and databases commonly used in prospect research.

  • Experience using CRMs such as Blackbaud.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Familiarity with best practices in prospect development and research methodologies.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $42,367 - $51,899. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.

All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.
