Position Summary |
In conjunction with the Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure, this position will be responsible for the Athletic Department's computer network including infrastructure design and security. This position will also help implement and maintain networking and security infrastructures designed to support efficient communications and access to information across multiple locations. Will assist with the development of budget for technology, services and personnel. |

Manage the technical operations and projects for
UGA Athletics IT along with the Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Responsible for technical projects and tasks, as assigned by the Director, both self-directed and directed.
- Ensure maintenance and enforcement of relevant UGA system and network standards
- Encourage and assist staff with department initiatives for increased efficiency, continual improvement, creative solutions, and collaboration within UGA Athletics and campus partners as needed.
- Manage and maintain system documentation along with the Director of IT Operations and Infrastructure
- Technical projects such as managing deployments of systems for all sports. Including e-mail system migrations and maintenance, cloud and on-premise backups, hardware maintenance and support, new facility buildouts, attending IT meetings related to facility needs, and new and emerging events that provide revenue

Assist with maintenance of central enterprise servers, wired and wireless networks, and security systems used to support the business and administrative functions of the Athletic Association. Provide support with design and deployment of new servers and networks as needed for new or remodeled facilities. |
