What You Will Do:

The WinEst Sales Engineers at Trimble are cross functional product experts who have a critical role to play in helping to develop and close business. Trimble Account Executives (AEs) and Product Sellers (PS) in understanding a prospective client's product needs, and then demonstrating the software to best meet those needs. They are required to be able to both understand complex requirements and find creative ways to stretch WinEst's product capabilities to the limit to meet those requirements, while simultaneously making the explanation succinct and consumable for a wide array of technical abilities within our client base. SEs are also pillars of ethics, ensuring that the capabilities we represent will in good faith meet client's needs and bring value to their business. SEs use their experience and credibility to build trust in the sales relationship.

  • Develop and maintain deep conceptual and functional knowledge of WinEst and related products (eTakeoff, Modelogix, RS Means, et al.)

  • Develop and display a strong understanding of estimating, in the disciplines of General Contracting as well as self performing construction companies including but not limited to Concrete, Steel Erection, and multiple Specialty Trades

  • Understand and develop demonstrations targeted to prospect personas such as Estimators, CFOs, Construction Managers etc.

  • Develop and maintain conceptual and functional knowledge of integration capabilities between WinEst and third party products focusing on Trimble products (Vista, Spectrum, ProContractor, Tekla)

  • Assist in conducting discovery calls and high-level software demonstrations to gather necessary pre-demo data and samples from customers and prospective customers

  • Conduct deep dive software demonstrations with Trimble AEs and PS

  • Record detailed notes from all pre-demo and demonstration in Salesforce - including all appropriate samples, documents and activities

  • Assist in the training and development of Trimble sales personnel

  • Maintain positive interaction with Trimble Sales and related partners (BuildingPoint)

  • Remain aware of WinEst product roadmap, capabilities and delivery dates

  • Communicate customer/market feedback for future product developments

  • Effectively manage prospective customer and existing customer expectations

  • Attend industry trade shows, Dimensions, Sales Kick Off, and travel for onsite demonstrations

  • Assist in account management issues and solutions as deemed necessary to achieve customer satisfaction

  • Continuously augments SE documentation, demo scripts, FAQs, slide decks

  • Participates in RFPs

  • Assist Marketing efforts as needed (campaigns, webinars, training videos, etc.)

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

Minimum of any of the following:

  • 1 year experience in a Training or Implementation role with WinEst

  • 2 years of experience using WinEst products in a client company

  • 2 years of experience using similar Trimble products with overlapping workflows (Estimating, Field Data Capture, Job Costing)

  • 3 years of experience in Estimating, with a strong preference for GC estimating or self performing contractor in Steel Erection, Concrete, or similar trades

Additional required skills:

  • Strong presentation skills for both in person and online demonstrations
  • Basic understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with Salesforce or related CRM
  • Functional creativity - Can you solve a problem in a short period of time and make it happen on screen?

Target Compensation:

Base + Commission = $105-$115k OTE DOE

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
