Warehouse Utility- Kansas City, MO

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for sanitation, cleaning and maintaining warehouse areas, including railcar and plant fumigation. While being Responsible for the storage of raw material, ingredients or finished product.

Shift hours:

  • 8-hour shifts
    • 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Pay:

  • $25.09 per hour
  • Shift differential
    • Additional $.55 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift and 3rd shift

The Kansas City plant provides job growth opportunities in most departments and promotes positive relationships throughout the facility, fostering a collaborative work environment and it has an employee club within the premises. The plant organizes holiday dinners for

What your day will look like:

    • Perform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining warehouse areas, including railcar and plant fumigation
    • Inspection, cleaning, loading, and unloading of railcars
    • Forklift operation within production and warehouse operations
    • Selecting, preparing, and loading products for outbound shipment per customer specifications
    • Responsible for the storage of raw material, ingredients or finished product
    • Receiving, unloading, and inspecting inbound ingredients/packaging materials
    • Executing all required HACCP food safety processes and documentation
    • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience with Warehouse Management systems
  • At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Willing and able to obtain Forklift Certification
  • Willing and able to obtain a Pesticide Application License
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
