Quality Assurance Engineering Internship


Job Description


Position Summary:Support Quality Assurance Engineering team in reviewing product specifications, processes, system updates and overall department support.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:



  • Assists in Root Cause Corrective Action Investigations, completing analysis utilizing Lean Six Sigma Tools, Measurement Systems, Preventive Maintenance, & Mistake Proofing.
  • Assists in the management of all aspects of internal quality systems relating to inspection, calibration, Material Review Board (MRB), internal quality auditing and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collects data, maintains metrics and provides support of cross functional teams to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Maintains safe and orderly work areas, understands and is compliant with organization's policies and procedures.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:



  • Must be enrolled and working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another related field.
  • Position requires excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and excellent computer skills.
  • Familiarity with Control Plans, FMEAs, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective/Preventive Action Plans, Statistics, Supplier/Process management.
