Genesis10 is seeking a Solutions Architect for our client in the financial services industry. This Contract to Hire position is located in Irving, TX. Hybrid schedule of 2-3 days onsite.

W2 Hourly Pay rate range: $75-95/hr depending on experience during the contract period.

Description:

We're looking for a Software Solution Architect who shares our ambition to solve real client problems-collaboratively. In this hands-on, client-facing role, you'll design and build smart, scalable AI-centric systems, working closely with clients, partners, and developers to push the mortgage industry forward. It's a perfect fit for someone who loves big ideas, clean code, and meaningful impact.

In addition to developing customized solutions, this role provides strategic input on product direction, fosters technical trust with clients, and mentors less-experienced engineers and sales engineers. You will represent the technical capabilities of the company in high-stakes engagements, while still being hands-on with code and systems.

This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of solution architecture, software development, client engagement, and technical mentorship. You will directly impact revenue, product innovation, and client success.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead Technical Solutioning: Act as the senior technical resource in sales cycles, guiding architectural discussions, scoping integrations, and ensuring proposed solutions align with both client needs and product capabilities.
  • Hands-on Development: Build custom prototypes, reusable assets, APIs, and POCs that accelerate client adoption and differentiate our solutions. Participate in agile development work.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to client technical teams, CTOs, and engineering leads. Translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions.
  • Product Collaboration: Influence the product roadmap by relaying client feedback, identifying market gaps, and advocating for technical enhancements.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Solutions Engineers and Developers. Establish best practices for solution prototyping and technical pre-sales engagements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical discovery calls, architecture workshops, and solution design sessions.
  • Collaboratively develop complex proofs-of-concept, integrations, and demo environments that showcase product extensibility.
  • Lead architecture and solutioning for reusable components across product lines, client segments, and tech stacks.
  • Write clean, maintainable code for client-focused solutions, reusable libraries, or SDK extensions.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to ensure smooth handoff of client-specific requirements for custom builds or deployments.
  • Along with CISO, own responses to technical RFPs, compliance questions, and security reviews for enterprise-level engagements.
  • Help evolve internal processes for solution development, demo environments, and technical sales support.
  • Partner with Product Management to evaluate build-vs-buy scenarios for client needs.

Performance Measures:

  • Reuse and adoption of developed solution assets across the organization
  • Time-to-delivery for custom demos, POCs, and prototypes
  • Client and stakeholder satisfaction scores related to technical engagement
  • Leadership and team development impact
  • Technical contribution to solutions

Systems & Tools Used:

  • Development: .NET framework, Angular, Python, SQL, and related IDEs
  • Architecture: Cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes
  • API Design: REST/GraphQL, API gateways, OAuth2/OpenID Connect
  • DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. Master's degree preferred but not required.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of software development experience, including at least 3+ years in a client-facing solutions or pre-sales engineering role.
  • Experience at mid-sized software companies or SaaS providers (50-500 employees), where flexibility, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on technical work are critical.
  • Advanced software development skills across modern languages and architectures
  • Strong technical presentation and communication capabilities for executive and engineering audiences
  • Business acumen in financial services (mortgage specifically), and a knack to continually learn
  • Adept at working with different roles throughout the organization
  • Proven success designing and implementing complex client-specific solutions
  • Deep understanding of cloud services, security, data integration, and APIs
  • Ability to balance client satisfaction with product scalability and strategic roadmap alignment
  • Experience mentoring technical teams and contributing to cross-functional leadership

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in FinTech, RegTech, AI-driven SaaS, or highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, including secure coding and compliance
  • Previous role as a Technical Lead, Principal Engineer, or Architect in a client-facing capacity
  • Open-source contributions or technical thought leadership (blogs, talks, meetups)
