Product Owner/Roadmaps/Jira/Financial Experience; CLT

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. Product Owner with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Create the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
• Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems
• Create and prioritize work for a team, learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• With some guidance, create and prioritize stories in the product backlog
• Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough "ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints
• Review and accept stories and make on-the-spot decisions regarding scope and requirements
• Work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business
• Facilitate team planning ceremonies against backlog/prioritized work
• Manage risk/dependencies/impediments for one team
• Contributes to artifacts needed for governance forums
• Understand stakeholder expectations and create regular updates to keep stakeholders informed

Requirements:

• Experience with Product Ownership/Product management
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used within their business area
• Great written and verbal communication

Desired skills:

• Basic awareness of architecture and design
• Able to comply with standards for information security and business architectures
• Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices
• Able to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance

Pay range: $66.39 - $74.39
