Genesis10 is seeking a Telecommunications Project Manager for our client in the utilities industry. This long-term contract position is located in Dalals, TX 75202

W2 Hourly Pay rate range: $75-$110/hr (Depending on Experience)

Description:

The Project Manager for the Private Broadband Core Deployment will be responsible for driving the project management lifecycle for this effort from initiation and analysis through hand over to operations in a complex multi-vendor environment. Overall, the key responsibility of this role is to ensure the successful design, build, and implementation of a core network solution used to manage a private broadband network based on cyber resiliency objectives. The core network solution features include those associated with network signaling and user traffic, authentication and tracking of users across the network, network traffic routing, connectivity with other networks, managing quality of service, and managing network subscriber information.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project coordination between vendor(s) and Client teams to implement Private Broadband Core
  • Facilitate the definition of project mission, goals, and tasks; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary
  • Manage the project budget, weekly time entry and approvals, financial reconciliations and resource allocation
  • Facilitate the development of and ensure project deliverables (i.e., requirements, design and testing documentation) are provided on time and with quality
  • Communicate effectively in order to serve as a liaison between the technical project team members, program management, and project sponsors and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with the Program Management Office (PMO) on weekly status, financials, and project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
  • Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology
  • Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for business process improvements within project scope.


Requirements:

  • Understanding of technology project management and architecture principles specific to the deployment of telecommunication systems
  • 10+ years of project management experience deploying Telecom Core Networks with an understanding of 4G and 5G Core network elements and functions for each network element.
  • Technical understanding of EPC & 5G SA architecture and 3GPP defined interfaces for control and user plane.
  • Technical understanding of LTE call flows and understanding of SIM cards and SIM Provisioning/Management, Roaming, MOCN and MC-PTT solutions.
  • Experience with and understanding of OSI Model, IP Networking, TCP, UDP, SCTP, DIAMETER, GPRS Tunnelling Protocol, and IP Security.
  • Understands, in a multi-vendor environment, who is the client and what are the client's needs; provides realistic expectations; and actively monitors client satisfaction
  • Recognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent
  • Uses critical thinking to evaluate alternatives and finds solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach
  • Develops improvements and innovations to enhance team's performance
  • Builds relationships and a collaborative working environment among the various stakeholders and negotiates authority to move the project forward
  • Creates a sense of belonging and ownership among team members in a matrixed, multi-vendor environment
  • Consults and provides advice, facilitates discussions and resolves conflict


W2 Status:
