Genesis10 is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for our client in the Oil & Gas industry. This 4 month+ Contract position is located in Tulsa, OK. Hybrid schedule 3 onsite / 2 remote.

W2 Hourly Pay rate range: $55 - $60 W2

W2 Status:

Description:




  • Business Systems Analyst is to lead projects that establish or improve business processes and provide process improvement expertise on projects of all scales.
  • Seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst ready to assist with internal projects. Including rebuilding document management systems, building construction management program, etc.
  • Candidate must be highly collaborative, skilled at translating business processes into technical processes, and able to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.

    Required: Experience with large scale projects, documentation requirements, and writing test cases



Responsibilities:

  • Works on multiple projects as a project team member
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
  • Review technology utilization with regards to network communications, data management, and financial reporting
  • Work with project teams and stakeholders to measure current performance and identify improvement opportunities that positively impact Client's strategy.
  • Provide insight and expertise on effective business processes to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Validate value of given process improvement opportunities and recommend options for realizing benefits of potential opportunities
  • Perform cost estimating, scoping, and scheduling for process improvement projects. Where Information Management systems are part of the project, the role is accountable for scoping and scheduling of IM system tasks.
  • Develop a plan for and leads business people through the process of converting and loading data from the Engineering and Construction system(s) into new system - including validation of data loads. Work closely with technical resources to ensure quality of data loads.
  • Develop a plan and leads business people through the process of defining releases, getting releases tested and handed over to the implementation team. Ensure that release notes are created and distributed to all parties - including training. Works closely with technical resources to ensure that schedule is met.
  • Identify risks to project cost and execution (including risks to Information Management task completion) and insures stakeholders are informed and aware of these risks. Accountable for development of risk mitigation strategies and - with project Steering team approval - implement mitigation strategies.


Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills - including scoping, planning, communication, ongoing management and risk management - with an ability to organize and execute in a situation where team members are outside of the formal span of control.
  • Understanding of business process and process redesign concepts.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives strongly desired.
  • Industry experience is a plus - gathering and processing operations, oil and gas, chemical or continuous process industries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the Client organization.
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to summarize, present and discuss strategies and options in order to come up with the best alternative for the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at various levels across organizational boundaries, and influence others without hierarchical authority.
  • Valued skills include: Ability to quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; consult with others and use their input effectively and constructively; and anticipate future consequences and trends accurately


Education/Experience:

  • 5-7+ years experience required


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
