We are looking for a visionary leader to be the AJC's next Senior Editor for Food & Dining. Atlanta is one of America's great culinary cities and we need an editor who can bring it to life. We are looking for someone with an eclectic palate to tantalize audiences on our social channels, the AJC app and website and in the newspaper. The ideal candidate will be a storyteller and a strategist, equally comfortable in front of the camera and behind the keyboard. You'll guide a diverse team of staff reporters, freelance contributors and influencers, coaching each from pitch to publish so their work resonates with audiences across all platforms. As a senior editorial leader, you'll collaborate closely with all of our newsroom teams to ensure the work has the maximum impact for audiences. As senior editor, you'll have a chance to shape a bold vision for our food and dining coverage and to align those plans with the AJC's mission, standards, and business goals. Key Responsibilities
Required qualifications:
USD 90,100.00 - 150,100.00 per year Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $90,100.00 - $150,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program. Benefits: The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
