Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a talented Missile Defense Radar Quality Control (QC) Lead to join a well-established team in the Sensors Test, Analysis, Requirements and Simulations (STARS) Lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of missile defense radar systems.



  • The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense radars such as AN/TPY-2, AN/TPY-6, LRDR, SBX, UEWR, and CD.
  • Common tasks for this position include providing QC of formal HWIL runs-for-record, developing and reviewing QC protocol and documentation, and overseeing QC-related activities across the STARS lab.
  • This individual will also be responsible for providing QC support to the peer review process for deliverables and reviewing and witnessing operator run procedures.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Experience:



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience with quality control and/or quality engineering for radar HWIL systems.
  • Proficient in MS Windows Office tool suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.


Candidates with the following experience are preferred:



  • Experience with AN/TPY-2, AN/TPY-6, LRDR, SBX, UEWR, and/or CDradar systems.
  • Experience with other aspects of the Missile Defense System (MDS) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) includingsimulation frameworks such as OSF.
