Location: This position is a hybrid role based out of our Minneapolis, MN office. The current expectation is that we are in office two days each week (between Mon-Wed), with extra additional days as required during the month.

Overview:
The Supervisor, Collections is responsible for the oversight of the Collections function leading a team of Collections specialists. The position coordinates daily activities for collection portfolio management, negotiations and customer payments, collection program quality assurance and reporting. The position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while representing the Inovalon.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Supervises Collections staff providing support, training, mentoring, and performance feedback to Collections Specialists.
  • Coordinates ongoing Collection activities, analysis, reporting, and customer disputes and negotiations.
  • Provides quality assurance to collections program including data collected, analysis, and reports generated.
  • Continually assess the team and processes to positively impact cash flow by improving the collection process, reduce aged AR, DSO and bad debt.
  • Monitor, track, and enforce department policies, procedures and goals, including collection plans.
  • Assists coordination of third-party collections agency processes and relationship with agency contacts.
  • Managing monthly cash receipts forecasting and leading cash goal achievements.
  • Manages Collections process improvement initiatives and implementation.
  • Manages the testing, deployment, and training of enhancements and break-fixes to business applications.
  • Manages the documentation of desk procedures and SOPs.
  • Take escalated customer calls from Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialists.
  • Accurately adheres to collections processes in accordance with SOP.
  • Creates, maintains, and reviews various schedules, reports, and team documentation.
  • Prepares and reviews a variety of customer communications to support business needs.
  • Delivers client service, as needed.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer; and

Job Requirements:



  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, collections or accounting;
  • Proven ability toresolve collectiondisputes;
  • Must be proficient in MicrosoftExcel, using pivot tables and complex formulas;
  • Experience with Great Plains, Salesforce, ServiceNow or other comparable systems;
  • Possess excellent leadership and time management skills;
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and oral communication skills; and
  • Must be a fast learner, highly dependable, and highly detail-oriented.


Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting/related field or ofequivalent experience.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally usually for training purposes.

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$65,100 $86,000 USD
