Data Center Structured Cabling-Quality Manager

SUMMARY:

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the quality system on one or more significant projects; and lead necessary corrective and preventive actions. Experience with data center structured cabling and low voltage systems is what our team focuses on.

Locations: United States (Can be remote with travel to sites)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Incorporate and lead Mortenson's quality system on multiple projects:



  • Lead planning, development, and implementation of the Quality Management Plan and system for all work divisions from notice to proceed through final customer acceptance
  • Establish and lead quality control initiatives, activities (three Phase Inspection Process), and corrective actions
  • Review project plans for quality requirements prior to issued for Construction drawings
  • Manage Quality Events and corrective actions
  • Manage the punch list identification and closeout process
  • Manage Non-Conformance Notices and the Request for Information process through corrective actions
  • Manage and resolve issues with and without guidance from the Project Manager or Superintendent
  • Knowledge of one or more quality systems as well as auditing processes and techniques
  • Communicate professionally and effectively across multiple internal and external audiences
  • Participate and contribute to industry standardization efforts
  • Evaluate business needs and develop appropriate solutions in an unconventional environment
  • Make and implement recommendations as necessary.
  • Train others on Kaizen event roles or visual management
  • Participate in and lead group Kaizen activities
  • Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance


Other duties as assigned, including:



  • Maintain quality processes until project completion
  • Complete special projects or initiatives as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), or equivalent field/scientific discipline
  • Quality roles including 3 or more years of quality experience helping to build and maintain Quality infrastructure
  • 3+ years of experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry; with experience leading a project's quality system
  • Knowledge of one or more quality systems as well as auditing processes and techniques
  • Communicate professionally and effectively across multiple internal and external audiences

    Build, motivate, and lead diverse and growing teams
  • Participate and contribute to industry standardization efforts
  • Evaluate business needs and develop appropriate solutions in an unconventional environment
  • Current driver's license
  • Up to 50% Travel Required


Preferred Skills:



  • Auditor certification (CQM, CQI, ISO 9001, or ASQ)
  • Experience/knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC), building envelope requirements, and/or National Electrical Code - NFPA 70
  • Experience/knowledge of renewable energy construction

The base compensation range for this role is: $97,600 - $146,400 Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%)

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
