Student Employment - Computer Technology Assistants

ECU College of Engineering and Technology is currently seeking several Computer Technology Assistants.

This position will assist the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) technical services personnel by working on custom designs such as:
We site creation, designing custom reports, SQL reports, SharePoint design, workflows. big data modeling, and provide mentoring and schedule coordination to students enrolled as interns to the technical services group. The student will monitor the CET service request system for service requests from college personnel and work with technical support personnel and interns to respond to and resolve issues and requests in a timely manner, other miscellaneous tech support duties as assigned by supervision.

Other potential duties:
The student may be required to provide technical support to CET students, faculty and staff: the student will perform initial diagnostics and troubleshooting on Windows, Apple and Linux based personal computers. The student may be ask4ed to help with the initial setup and configuration on college workstations, labs, and servers. The student may be asked to diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity issues regarding college workstations, labs and/or servers. The student may be required to assist technical services personnel with equipment logistics, i.e., initial setup/tear down/deployment/relocation of college digital assets, i.e., server, workstations, displays, printers, etc.
