We are seeking a highly qualified and accomplished Associate Research Scientist for the laboratory of Prof. Pierre Gentine whose qualifications and contributions to their field are equivalent to those of an assistant professor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background and extensive research experience in environmental science, demonstrating a proven track record of significant contributions to the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct independent and collaborative cutting-edge research in environmental science, focusing on areas such as climate-hydrology-ecology interactions

Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals

Utilize advanced computational and data analysis techniques for complex environmental datasets.

Lead proposal writing to major federal agencies.

Education: Ph.D. in Environmental Science/Engineering or a closely related field.

Research Experience: Significant postdoctoral research experience at leading institutions.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of programming languages and software, including Python and in machine learning libraries such as PyTorch. Demonstrated expertise with geospatial data tools.

Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English, with strong abilities in reading, conversing, and writing.

Preferred Attributes & Contributions:

A robust publication record and a history of contributing to scientific discourse through peer review.

Active participation and leadership in the scientific community, evidenced by roles such as organizing conference session.
