Job Summary |
Auburn University's Office of Information Technology is seeking a technically skilled and forward-thinking professional to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise collaboration platforms and intelligent workplace services. This role will focus on enabling secure, scalable, and user-centered digital experiences across a variety of cloud-based environments.
As a key member of our Cloud Services team, you'll lead the transformation of enterprise platforms-integrating AI-powered tools, modern workplace technologies, and cloud-native services to deliver seamless digital experiences. You'll work across departments to translate complex business needs into elegant technical solutions, all while championing security, automation, and operational efficiency.
This position is located in Auburn, Alabama and working onsite is a requirement of the job.
May work up to 2 days hybrid remote in local area with supervisor's approval after completion of probationary period.

Essential Functions |
- Architect and implement modern workplace solutions using a range of enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Integrate and operationalize AI-powered services to enhance automation, productivity, and decision-making across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and translate them into technical solutions aligned with institutional goals.
- Develop governance, compliance, and lifecycle strategies for digital workplace tools and services.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for collaboration platforms and AI services.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in cloud collaboration, AI, and digital transformation.

Systems Engineer (MA46):
High school diploma and 11 years of relevant experience OR
Associate's degree and 7 years of experience OR
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience.
Sr. Systems Engineer (MA47): Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience
Scope of experience: Relevant IT experience in the administration of distributed computer systems |

- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, APIs).
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with change enablement, user adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
