Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to analyze Wi-Fi performance and enhance integration with RF front-end components. You'll take the lead in designing, developing, and optimizing the Wi-Fi MAC and PHY for cutting-edge Wi-Fi 6 NR, leveraging your hands-on experience with PHY and MAC layer algorithms. Your contributions will directly impact the future of wireless communication. Enjoy benefits that position you at the forefront of innovation, including flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a supportive team culture focused on pushing the boundaries of technology together. Join us and help shape tomorrow's connectivity.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Wi-Fi drivers, firmware, or protocol stacks, including 802.11s mesh networking features.
  • Implement and debug 802.11 MAC and PHY interactions, supporting features like OFDMA, MU-MIMO, beamforming, and channel bonding.
  • Contribute to integration and bring-up of Wi-Fi SoCs or chipsets in embedded Linux or RTOS environments.
  • Design and implement mesh peering mechanisms per IEEE 802.11s.
  • Ensure standards compliance (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be and 802.11s) and interoperability with mesh-capable devices.
  • Optimize performance, roaming, mesh path selection, and power-saving modes in mesh and infrastructure modes.
  • Collaborate with QA and systems teams to resolve field and lab issues involving mesh and multi-hop topologies.
  • Support coexistence (e.g., Wi-Fi, 5G), advanced security (WPA3), and optional features such as 802.11r, 802.11k/v.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Wi-Fi system or driver development.
  • Strong knowledge of the IEEE 802.11 standard, with practical experience implementing or debugging 802.11s.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems development.
  • Experience working with Linux wireless subsystems (cfg80211/mac80211/nl80211).
  • Familiarity with Wireshark, packet sniffing, and mesh trace analysis.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mesh path selection, peering, and multi-hop forwarding behavior.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with wireless SoCs from Qualcomm, Broadcom, MediaTek, TI, or NXP.
  • Knowledge of mesh scalability, performance tuning, and quality-of-service (QoS) in mesh networks.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi certification processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Exposure to mesh-related security models (SAE, PMF, etc.).
  • Experience developing or integrating 802.11s mesh features on platforms like OpenWRT, Qualcomm SDK, or/and custom embedded firmware.

Nice to have:

  • Contributions to open-source mesh implementations (e.g., Linux mac80211/mesh, OpenWRT mesh).
  • Knowledge of 802.11ah (Wi-Fi HaLow) or Time-Sensitive Networking over Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with dynamic topology changes, self-healing networks, and multi-radio mesh optimization.
