What you will experience in this position:

As an Assembly Operator Lead at nVent Management Company, you will hold a key position in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will:

  • Operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools involved in highly repetitive and routine functions such as riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling.
  • Apply forklift equipment to pull materials and ensure timely movement within the production area.
  • Install hardware, perform quality inspection/checks, and package finished goods for shipping, maintaining a flawless standard.
  • Work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment and participate in teams to improve processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations, maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
  • Support the production process by filling in positions on the line as needed to maintain workflow during absences.
  • Act as a change agent, driving out waste through the deployment of Lean methodology.
  • Complete and coordinate employee cross-training to achieve efficient team functionality and ensure a world-class production environment.
  • Recognize and involve employees in problem-solving and decision-making, encouraging an inclusive and collaborative culture.
You have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience, preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
  • Proficiency with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards, and the Internet.
  • Forklift experience, preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
