Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Program/Project Manager, a critical defense initiative driving advanced technological capabilities to sustain national security operations. The ideal candidate will oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and ensure seamless execution. You will be responsible for coordinating across engineering, contracting, and operational teams to deliver program objectives effectively and efficiently, while maintaining compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Golden Dome project developing mission level capabilities/products to meet established goals and deliverables.
  • Manage budget and financial performance, ensuring cost control and reporting in compliance with DoD guidelines.
  • Track program progress against key milestones and update stakeholders accordingly.
Project Coordination & Communication:
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of resources, priorities, and timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between program sponsors, government stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and present program briefs, progress reports, and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Risk Management:
  • Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues to ensure program success.
  • Maintain a comprehensive risk register and provide periodic updates to stakeholders on risk status.
Schedule & Resource Management:
  • Create and manage program schedules, ensuring efficient use of personnel, resources, and materials.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate resource allocation to support engineering efforts, logistics, testing, and deployment activities.
Contracting & Compliance:
  • Support contracting efforts by providing program insights working with the contract program manager.
  • Ensure program execution is in compliance with regulations, policies, and contractual obligations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in program or project management, preferably within the defense sector.
  • Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Tableau).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 15 years of experience in program or project management, preferably within the defense sector.
  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with DoD modeling methodologies such as Digital Engineering or MBSE frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), SysML, and DoDAF standards.
  • Experience working within Agile and/or DevSecOps environments.
  • Understanding of physics-based modeling and simulation practices.
  • Understanding of AFSIM Simulation framework.
Required Clearance:
Active Secret Clearance required with the ability to obtain TS / SCI and prior experience with Special Access Programs; US Citizenship required.
