We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking students with a professional attitude and a strong interest in technical theater. Candidates should be team-oriented, attentive, dependable, and willing to take initiative. Prior experience in technical theater is preferred but not required. Position Overview: Under supervision, student stagehands will support the technical operations of events and performances at Popejoy Hall. Responsibilities include assisting with the setup and strike of stage productions, as well as providing support across various departments including lighting, audio, video, props, and carpentry. Primary Duties: Hang, focus, and maintain theatrical lighting equipment Set up and strike sound, projection, and video systems Build and assemble scenic elements, including platforms and set pieces Hang curtains, drops, and soft goods Load and unload production trucks (must be capable of lifting moderate to heavy equipment) Provide assistance during departmental events and rehearsals Serve scheduled shifts as a Backstage Door Monitor during performances Work flexible hours including weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional theatrical environment. Minimum Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Stage hand or theatrical experience preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions is paramount.
