The Opportunity The College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide (ERAU-WW) invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean and tenured Associate Professor. Please note that this is an in-person position at the Embry-Riddle Worldwide Headquarters located in Daytona Beach, FL. The college seeks a dynamic, high-potential Assistant Dean, who, under the oversight of the Dean, will be responsible for various academic and administrative goals of the college as a whole. These responsibilities include curriculum quality management and continuous improvement, academic and administrative assessment and evaluation, specialized accreditation, and several aspects of student success specific to the needs of traditional and non-traditional learners. As a member of the Dean's Leadership Team, the Assistant Dean will have a promising record of academic and administrative experience within the framework of the College of Arts & Sciences Strategic Guidance 2023-25. Candidates will not only need to demonstrate an ability to manage academic and administrative processes, projects, and initiatives in a broad interdisciplinary setting serving a diverse audience but also be highly adept at geographically distributed academic operations and asynchronous online education as well as traditional face-to-face education. Required Education and Qualifications: This is leadership-level position that requires a Ph.D., professional credentials, and disciplinary record suitable for an appointment as a tenured faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor in one of the college's departments.
