Salary Pay: $15.10 - $18.25 / hour Overview Driver Pay Range $15.10 - $18.25/hour depending on experience. Schedule: Part-time days, up to 20 hours per week. Driver team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for safely transporting and transferring medically stable residents/patients via Elderwood vehicles between medical facilities and loading transit disabled, or wheelchair bound passengers in and out of the vehicle. Driver also assists with the activities in our building. Responsibilities Driver Essential Job Functions: 1. Ability to use hands and arms in repeated motions (opening manual passenger doors, steering the shuttle bus, securing wheelchair equipment, etc.). 2. Ability to perform pre and post trip inspection duties that may require stooping, bending, and other similar range of motion activity. 3. Ability to drive and work in all conditions including snow, ice, rain, and nighttime hours in a safe manner. 4. Ability to carry and load baggage and medical equipment. 5. Ability to physically load wheelchair clients and properly operate safety equipment including hydraulic lift. 6. Ability to operate a full size cargo van and small shuttle bus. 7. Ability to assist wheelchair bound and transit disabled passengers in and out of vans. 8. Possession and maintenance of a medical certification card as required by DOT regulations Qualifications
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
