As a Security Officer - Access Control in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Security Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will focus on access control responsibilities, monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. This is a primarily driving post, offering a dynamic workday as you interact with team members and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site protocols.
• Communicate with site personnel and visitors in a professional manner, addressing questions and providing assistance as needed.
• Support logistics and distribution operations by maintaining awareness of site activities and reporting any concerns to management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• New York Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• This position is primarily a driving post, so a valid driver's license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
