As a Security Professional - Gate House in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto and more .

As a Security Officer specializing in access control at an automotive location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves interacting with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the auto facility.
• Communicate with site management and/or law enforcement as needed regarding incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and access control logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• South Carolina Security Professional Guard Card preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
