The Area Manager will lead and empower site managers to properly initiate operational workflows and ensure policy and procedures are followed to overall improve patient care.

The Area Manager will oversee three sites within Sumter, SC and Manning, SC. Home base will be 325 Broad Street, Sumter, SC.

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm / No evenings, weekends, or holidays!

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage day-to-day admin operations by handling issues within the Site Lead and/or appropriate leadership, while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and maintaining high standards for service
  • Plan, implement and evaluate the staffing needs daily to adequately support practice operations in a given area, assigning staff based upon practice volume and staff qualifications. Maintain site manager schedules and PTO requests
  • Actively manage schedules in order to ensure appropriate access for patient demand while enabling providers/staff to meet productivity targets and minimize provider and staff burnout. Promoting accountability, consistency, and compliance across the organization
  • Assessing trending issues and escalating red flags
  • Set goals for expectations including but not limited to cross training, staff metrics, and workflows
  • Monitor sites for best practice functions and productivity by making site visits to assigned area offices once a week
  • Lead and be accountable for efficiently promoting a high level of patient care across multiple sites
  • Collaborate on operational growth
  • Provide effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the staff for implementing the integration of efforts with site-wide strategic initiatives, policies and procedures
  • Promote following the chain of command to maintain staffing model
  • Ensure site manager trainings are completed and up to date
  • Ensure meeting 1 on 1 with the site managers on a weekly basis
  • Collaborate, develop and maintain strong positive relationships with providers
  • Maintains the culture of excellence by recruiting, developing and retaining talent
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Clinical background in family medicine or primary care
  • 3+ years previous supervisory and management experience
  • 2+ years of experience with quality-based care/HEDIS
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation
  • Experience as an assertive, strong leader



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of Clinic experience
  • Managerial experience in a medical group practice setting
  • Proven ability to find, recognize, motivate, cultivate, and retain employee talent while creating a fair, accountable work environment



Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
