Summary

Seeking a candidate with knowledge of Information Systems (IS) network administration, systems administration and information systems security. The Candidate will work with projects including legacy, current and next generation telecommunication, and related communications-electronics (C-E) systems. To provide Sustainment Engineering (SE) support on various DoD IT systems and infrastructure components and must be knowledgeable of both wired and wireless network devices such as [but not limited to] network switches and routers, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and encryption devices. The candidate will focus technology acumen on assisting cyber integration efforts for integration of both legacy and current state-of-the-art technology supporting various Department of Defense (DoD) entities. The candidate will follow the guidance of designated team lead(s) to ensure team cohesion and mission success. This position may require a non-standard work schedule and frequent travel. Position requires 25% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to perform system integration and sustainment support efforts for IT systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide system administration and technical expertise support to include administration, documentation, provision of resources, maintenance of OS patches and releases for platform applications such as Windows 11, Windows server 2019, VMWare ESXi, application servers, and databases
  • Provide system administration and technical expertise support to various network routers, switches and wireless devices to include Cisco IOS, Cradle point, Aruba Networks and Android devices software and Hardware
  • Perform tasks including (but not limited to) monitoring system and task status, data storage, retention and retrieval, review and audit of system functions of data communication networks, perform immediate troubleshooting as the situation dictates for all network outages as reported by users, sensors, and/or operational personnel o configure, install and replace network gear as needed
  • Perform software installation; assist with network system design, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with technical documentation, network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documentation
  • Perform duties to assist with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, Cyber Security Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems management or information technology (IT) with 5-7 years of related experience

  • CompTIA Security+ certification

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (current preferred; or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire)

  • Basic understanding of C4I systems

  • Knowledge of Windows operating environments and Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012

  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Administrator

  • Knowledge of Wide Area Network infrastructure and Architectures

  • Knowledge of Cyber Security Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and procedures

  • Ability to troubleshoot, install, and maintain mobile C4I and related electronic communication systems and associated equipment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in designing and implementing computer and information networks, such as LAN, WAN, intranets, extranets, and other data communications network Understanding of computer security measures and implementation of IT networks and IS computer systems

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
