We are looking for a Member Relationship Specialist to join our team! The salary range for this position is $25.78 to 32.22 per hour based on skills and experience. This position is classified as Hybrid.
SCOPE:

As a dedicated member of the OnPath FCU team, this role performs a variety of tasks that in partnership with the surrounding departments, provides cost effective financial services for the benefit of our members who are our primary focus. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The Member Relationship Specialist provides full-service banking to high-net-worth individuals. Extends credit, provides deposit-related services, offers financial and banking advice, and maintains customer awareness of company services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Coordinates the entire credit approval process, including approving loans within authorized limits. Cross-sells retail and trust services such as credit cards, personal trusts, and investment, financial, and estate planning services. Buys and sells, through the appropriate bank investment or trust area, bonds, money market issues, and other personal investment instruments, as required by the customer.
  • Maintains frequent contact with clients, returning all incoming calls and addressing problems/questions within a 24-hour period. Serves as a relationship manager to provide consumer banking services and facilitates delivery of mortgage loans, commercial loans and alternate investments.
  • Calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business by promoting company services and products. Maintains integrity of program by targeting only qualified prospects and referring unqualified clients to the appropriate branch. Seeks referrals from current client base.
  • Identifies and evaluates client needs by utilizing financial profiles to determine cross-sale opportunities to meet production objectives.
  • Attends appropriate seminars and training classes to remain knowledgeable about all company products, programs, pricing, underwriting guidelines, procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.



Experience:


  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Background in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience with outbound calling, prospecting, and follow-up to drive engagement.
  • Comfortable promoting products like checking accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment services.



Education/Certifications/Licenses:


  • High school education or GED



Interpersonal Skills


  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be
capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office
equipment including CRTs, typewriters, telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely
perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work
extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and
timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Mental Requirements
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
